After hearing the mentors' thoughts and advice, my team is cutting the shots of the perfume spritz. We'll instead focus on making our project look as elegant and clean as possible.
My focus for this week is the camellia shader. Billy gave us a great reference to think about when building the look of our flowers:

After talking to my team members, we agreed that we'd like to have a subtle hint of color to the base of each petal. I would like to come up with different versions to choose from, experimenting with pink, salmon, orange, and yellow.
Subsurface scattering is another area I want to get right with this shader, especially because we'll have a close-up shot of the flower against the sunset. I started by finding a few references to pull from.

I worked on the shader as Wei worked on her flower FX. When she had an updated model by the end of the week, I applied the shader and put together a turntable with our most recent color corrected HDRI.
